Spring is on its way. Last week it had a brief lapse and threw another metre of fresh snow on our doorstep. But forgiven and forgotten, because it's gone again. Instead, it's blooming and greening. At 2000 metres it looks completely different.

Time for annual concerts

The mountains are now quiet for a while. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the glacier view. Viewpoint Hohfluh is open daily from 9.30 am to 3 pm. And it's the time for concerts: The Bettmeralp Music Society invites you to its annual concert on 26 April 2025 on Bettmeralp and the Eggishorn Music Society on 2 May 2025 in Fiesch.

Time to plan your summer holidays

You're probably thinking: why plan when you have the Alps on your doorstep? That's true, but I'm also interested in activities here that are new to me. For example, booking a guided glacier tour or testing the flow trail on a mountainbike or a or trying out a via ferrata. I'll have to think about the latter for a while, because that would be a real challenge for me. Perhaps one of the above is a challenge for you too. But as they say, you're never too old to learn. Maybe we'll meet on your new challenges on the Aletsch Glacier.
