Lake Bettmer for the family - three times combined
A stay in the Aletsch region is varied and always fascinating in summer and winter. Whether you're hiking, climbing, gliding, golfing, touring, biking or skiing, the weather and the view are usually great. Either you have a view of the Valais Alps or the Aletsch Glacier. On a clear day you can see as far as Italy, and the Matterhorn or the Mischabel chain are on the camera lens from many vantage points. So, panorama simply has to be.
At the moment, the weather is very suitable to spend a few days on holiday in the Valais and go hiking. Are you also fascinated by the combination of mountain and lake? Well, I admit that there are no really big lakes in the Upper Valais, but on Bettmeralp there are small lakes like Bettmersee. I would like to introduce you to it, because you can combine a day at Bettmersee very well with the family, so that everyone has their own experience, from the little ones to the adults.
Easy hike around Lake Bettmer
An easy hike with the family and small children. The hiking trail is suitable for prams, combined with a picnic at the children's playground and a boat trip, the little ones will have fun and you will have a relaxing day. You can find more information here.
Nordic Walking past Lake Bettmer
Do you fancy a little time-out while your partner or grandma looks after the kids? Then why not take advantage of the nordic walking circuit, which also leads past Lake Bettmer. How about taking a break there and meeting the family?
More challenging hike
You are also part of the family, but would prefer something more challenging? Then I recommend a tour to the Bettmerhorn. The mountain tour takes about 3 hours with magnificent views and the good thing about it is that you can walk past Lake Bettmer again on the way back to meet the family. The description of the hike is very simple.
