Winter time with variety

Well, I prefer deep snow and freezing temperatures. That's when skiing is best. In my opinion! Unfortunately, you don't get that every winter. Generally, what's important to me is how much snow there is up at the ski resort and how well the slopes are groomed. When I want to take a break, I like to sit in or in front of a nice mountain hut and if I'm not in the mood for snowboarding, I want to go hiking on a sunny winter day and admire the beautiful snow. Those are my ideas of a perfect winter.

Offers at the ski resort

Especially in winter, we visit the Aletsch Arena for snowboarding, winter hiking, and sledding. Bettmeralp is my personal favorite for snowboarding. However, I'm only an average snowboarder. My husband sees it differently, as he finds steeper slopes better for carving. Winter hikes are possible throughout the entire ski area, offering stunning panoramic views. And the sledding runs are scenic and well-groomed. If you enjoy going out in the evening, you should look for accommodation on Bettmeralp. Those who prefer peace and quiet might feel more comfortable on the other two alpine pastures. You'll find children's ski schools on all three pastures. Shopping options are more extensive on Riederalp and Bettmeralp. However, Fiescheralp offers the steeper slopes.

Those who enjoy going out in the evening should look for accommodation on the Bettmeralp. Those who prefer peace and quiet might feel more comfortable on the other two alpine pastures.
