Summer and good vibes
What do you associate with a good summer? Warm weather, of course. And sitting outside, having a barbecue or eating out on a restaurant terrace. Splashing around in the water with the kids or enjoying nature on a stand-up paddle board. Whatever it is, summer is associated with holidays, leisure, festivals and new experiences. Or the tried and tested, because it gives you a feeling of home. Because where your heart is will be your home. Right?!
So once again, I would like to warmly recommend the Aletsch region to you. After all, I live here and I know that Valais is not only an impressive mountain backdrop but also warm and sunny. There are currently two summer festivals in July.
Lake festival on 28 July 2024
This festival is being held for the 52nd time on Bettmeralp on the lake of the same name, with dancing, music and food, of course. Locals are also in attendance, which is why club life is also very much alive.
Summer night festival on 31 July 2024
The summer night festival takes place in Fieschertal on the evening before the bank holidays. There is music and catering here too.
Celebrations on 01 August 2024
The National Day celebrations will take place at several locations in the Upper Valais. Please take a look at the supporting programme under the following links. Some offer children's entertainment, a few are listed here:
