Holidays in the middle of the ski area
And what do you like about winter? The snow-covered landscape, through which you can take a walk in the crisp, clear air and then warm up with coffee or tea in a cozy room? The perfectly groomed ski slope, where you can whiz down the hill in the sunshine and then enjoy après-ski with party music? When it gets dark, you sit together at the table, play a game, or perhaps even start with an aperitif before dinner. Of course, this can also be done the other way around, without alcohol.
Well, I personally like all of that. I used to go on skiing holidays myself. When you have several ski resorts right on your doorstep, you don't see the need for them as much anymore. Although I always found it particularly nice to wake up in the middle of a ski resort and be able to strap on my snowboard right after breakfast.
Rustic holidays in the mountains
If you trudge through the snow to the supermarket, you'll find Alpine cheese and dried meat, Valais bread, and a good bottle of Fendant to accompany raclette and fondue for dinner. For breakfast, perhaps some Bircher muesli, and for a treat, chocolate or fine vermicelli.
All these ideas of a successful winter holiday naturally include snow and plenty of sunshine. Easy to find in the Aletsch Arena. There are still 3 apartments available during Christmas week, one of which is only available for the holidays. Do you need to think about it any longer?
