Then why not head for the mountains? The Aletsch region is also a great place to go on holiday in November, especially if you want some peace and quiet. And fog is known to be in short supply in Valais. You might be saying: but everything is closed in November. Not quite!<\/p>\n<h3>Timetables and operating times in November<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, it's currently not the season. In good Swabian, this means that the hiking season is over and the winter season has not yet started. Until the start of the winter season, mountain and cable cars in the ski area are being overhauled and are partially closed. And of course not all shops and businesses are open. You can still go on holiday, but you should pay attention <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aletscharena.ch\/en\/planning-booking\/timetable-operating-hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to the adjusted timetable<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities in November<\/h3>\n<p>Enjoy a little foretaste of winter, go for walks or snowshoe tours and enjoy a cosy meal even in November. Hiking trails and businesses that are still open can be found on the Aletsch Arena homepage under News. The current snow depth is 45 cm. As Riederalp and Bettmeralp are inhabited all year round, you can always shop in the supermarket. The opening hours are somewhat limited, in the mornings until half past twelve or 1 pm, depending on which supermarket you go to. Except on Saturdays, then you can shop for longer.
