Anyway, that's what motivated me to go on a trip to Riederalp with my yodelling instructor. We set off at half past ten in the morning from the Riederalp Mitte mountain station in the most beautiful weather.<\/p>\n<p>The winter hiking trail starts here and runs through the village to the Moosfluh gondola station. From the gondola, you can enjoy the distant views as far as the Matterhorn for the first time. At the Moosfluh viewpoint, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Valais Alps and, of course, the magnificent view of the snow-covered Aletsch Glacier.<\/p>\n<h3>Viewpoint Moosfluh to Restaurant Ch\u00fcestall<\/h3>\n<p>The winter hiking trail begins to the left of the viewpoint and ski piste and runs steadily downhill. As this path is also used for sledging and the combination of steep path and risk of slipping is not to everyone's taste, I recommend spikes for your winter boots. After about half an hour you will cross the ski slope for the first time and after another 100 metres you will see the signpost for the Ch\u00fcestall restaurant.<\/p>\n<h3>Break at Restaurant Ch\u00fcestall<\/h3>\n<p>After a good hour you reach the restaurant. I recommend that you take a break. There is a separate article on the Ch\u00fcestall restaurant under Hut experiences. After the break, keep left towards Scheenubodu. You have to follow the ski piste for a short distance. The trail follows the Bettmersee lake back towards Riederalp.<\/p>\n<p>You will find several signposts on this winter hiking trail. You can also walk in the direction of Riederfurka and join another <a href=\"https:\/\/ferienchalet-wallis.ch\/en\/winterwanderweg-moosfluh-riederalp\/\">winter hiking trail<\/a>. You certainly won't starve or die of thirst along the way. There are refreshment stops everywhere and what can you do wrong with Valais dishes?
