Although you have to set off early, it is an intense experience of nature and sport. If you want to go ski touring, you should be in good physical condition and do regular ski gymnastics to strengthen your legs and back. Handling equipment and avalanche awareness are also important safety aspects. Basically, you should know how to ski off-piste.<\/p>\n<h3>Ski touring for beginners<\/h3>\n<p>The Aletsch Arena offers ski tours accompanied by an experienced mountain guide. Offers are available until April. As the ski season ends on Easter Monday, it's time to give this offer a try. It's best to book with an experienced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bergsteigerschule-riederalp.ch\/de\/angebot-winter.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mountaineering school.<\/a> Prices start at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aletscharena.ch\/en\/planning-booking\/offers-experiences\/offer\/ski-tour-to-the-katzenloecher\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at CHF 180 to the Katzenl\u00f6cher<\/a>. In October 2023, we hiked this tour towards <a href=\"https:\/\/ferienchalet-wallis.ch\/en\/rundwanderung-richtung-chatzulecher\/\">Katzenl\u00f6cher<\/a> and, as always, were rewarded with phenomenal views of the Aletsch Glacier.<\/p>\n<h3>Tours for experienced ski tourers<\/h3>\n<p>When researching the topic of mountain sports, I like to use the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outdooractive.com\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">outdooractive.com<\/a>. Also for the winter sport of ski touring there are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outdooractive.com\/de\/skitouren\/bettmeralp\/skitouren-in-betten\/24525851\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10 ski routes from easy to difficult for ski touring<\/a>. With access from Bettmeralp the Rotstock north summit and the Geisshorn from Riederalp, for example, are listed as easy ski tours.
