Time for firn snow

Skipiste Bettmeralp Aletsch Arena

What comes to mind when you hear the word March? Spring, snowdrops, and putting away your boots? Or a ski holiday, plenty of sunshine, and warmer temperatures? That wouldn't have occurred to you? Well, you can wear your transitional jacket even at 2000 meters in March. You'll feel warmer sitting in the sun, and your skin tone changes rapidly at that altitude if you're not careful. Besides, nothing's really green yet. And the pristine white snow is good for the soul.

Spring is also present at 2000 m

The great thing about March is that it's in between seasons. Nights are still quite cool, which keeps the ski slopes in good condition until midday. And during the day it's already mild, which means it's time to relax on a sun lounger in the afternoon. Aperitif at 2 p.m.? Who cares? After all, you're on holiday.

Moderate prices and empty ski slopes

The Swiss winter holidays are over, so it's like after the Christmas holidays. Prices are more moderate. And the ski slopes are less crowded, the ski huts aren't packed, and there's more time for each other. Finally, space for long carving turns or to improve your skiing skills. Everyone is more relaxed.

Time to celebrate

Celebrating something means doing something with high intensity and lots of fun. Young people celebrate with a big party. Beyond 30, celebrating is more about relaxation and enjoying time off: time as a couple, with a toddler, with friends. Whatever it is, March offers ideal conditions. Now is the time to bid a proper farewell to winter with occasions to celebrate. On March 16th and 17th, 2026, the Brack FIS women's giant slalom races and on March 19th, 2026, it's St Joseph’s Day as every year, with a ski pass at the special price of CHF 35. Those with the name Joseph or Josephine have ski for free.
