Why do you enjoy going to the mountains? Well, for nature, the breathtaking views, and the relaxation of hiking. I'm sure you can think of even more reasons. For me, of course, the main reason is always the silence. I associate it with hearing marmots whistling, watching wild birds, spotting ibex. A break from the everyday madness of machines, people, and multimedia. Too much of everything. I prefer a more minimalist approach, with just a packed lunch, a water bottle, and a loved one by my side.

A day of hiking in the fresh mountain air is tiring. First, a rest and perhaps an aperitif in the Valais style: a glass of Fendant with shaved cheese and Valais rye bread to set the mood for a cozy evening. And maybe then off again to a nice event.
